Default Lasik eye surgery?

Anyone have it done?
Like it?
Hate it?

I'm thinking about having it done and like some input.

I haven't had it done, but I have several friends who have. Results have been mixed. Several have had problems with "dry" eye afterward....and will have from now on from what I understand.

I had a Boss who had a terrible result, but he was one of the first to do it when it first came out.

My big complaint is that most people still need reading glasses!

That is what I'm hearing as well, dry eye. I did see where they have new laser that isn't supposed to give you dry eye though.

It's the reading glasses that I want to get rid of!
I hate those things!

My daughter loves her "new eyes." At first she complained of dry eye but now the complaints have melted in complimentary JOY!

I have had it done.

You get the dry eyes because you have severed the nerves that tell your tear ducts that your eye is dry. You get the feeling overall, but the immediate area does not know about it. In time it gets better and you need drops less.

I have had it done and know of 3 others. All had dry eyes for varying amounts of time and all are ok now and happy. The type of lasik will have a huge affect and it sounds like you are aware of that, keep up your research for the best of what you want.

Mine were done 5 years ago and I know a lot has changed. I am very glad that I did it. Took me about a year before I stopped having the dreams about forgetting to take my contacts out at night.
