Thanks Freewolf, and Merry Christmas to you as well. Hope you had a great day. Mine was good, but I must admit I am bordering on exhaustion.
Sure is nice to have The BW Forum up and running again for the New Year! Hopefully we can keep it open this time.
Hey Freewolf, I watched Meet The Press on Sunday and they had a great interview with Ron Paul....I was hoping you got to see it, as I would be interested in hearing your opinion of Tim Russert's interview. I personally think Ron Paul has some great ideas.....abolish the IRS and Income Tax to name a few, but I must admit I am concerned about his "alternative" plans.
Anyway, I would interested in hearing your views on the subject, if you care to share them.
Have a Great New Year!

I'm tired and it's late now, but I look forward to answering your questions tomorrow.
Hope every one had as good a Christmas as I did. I can understand the exhaustion.

Just wanted to address this real quick before it gets too far in the distance. I have been really busy and so I did not want to seem like I ignored it.
I did watch that particular interview and it went pretty much like I thought it would go. Russert has his style and he kept true to it for sure. I think he did his job. I don't much care for the style in general. I like the hard questions, but I prefer hard questions offered with a sincere interest in understanding the true intent rather than asked with the clear intention of trying to get someone to trip up. All in all, I thought it was pretty good and I think both men did a decent job and was a decent interview.
As far as your concerns about "alternative" plans, I am not sure exactly what you mean. I won't get into my beliefs about what Paul stands for and what he hopes to accomplish in this post or this thread, since there is a politics thread for this, but I would be more than glad to address specific questions and offer views on any subject or concern about Ron Paul and his politics in the politics section. Look forward to it in fact.
Thanks for the Christmas wishes again. I also am glad to see the forum up and running.

I'm glad to see some stiff moderation, how else could average folks interact?
Buh Bye Alias, you disrupted poorly.
I think you ought to let TomServo come back though, as long as CrowTrobot is here. I hear he can't get signed in...
Just a hint, for what it's worth.
Good job on the moderation so far...

I hear that TomServo has started an entire thread over at lostinspace forum whining about how he cannot get on this forum. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if they did keep him off this forum....But, I sure can't understand why they would let Alias and JimV on this forum and not TomServo? Me thinks he doth protest too much! Must have been a slow day, and he needed a new topic to whine about.

I thought the echo chamber forum in spokane shut down a long time ago?

Merry christmas and happy new year to all you in Boise and beyond. I am glad to finally be able to post here.
A friend of mine that I met in recent months posts over at the spokane forum. From what she has told me, the old boards like spokanetalk and spokaneforums closed down but another "old-timer" created another one. I didn't bother signing up over there after the way some treated me on the spokanetalk site.

As an inhabitant of both forums I heartily recommend this one over the other for women and children especially as a "safe" place to have digital coversations. You have the reputation of the BW standing behind the moderation and it will be family oriented.
The LostinSpokane forum is a perfect digital anarchy. I wouldn't recommend it for beginning forum users at all.
I don't work for the BW, or live in either Boise or Spokane for that matter.
Enjoy! Pick a topic and dive right in!

Oh No....they've still got the usual suspects (5 or 6) who post from time to time. The funny thing is....Waldo posted that..."posting a thread over there about what's happening over here (and vice versa) is baiting as well. And I seem to recall that there's a rule against baiting people is there not? Now I have no idea if either of those people were warned for baiting or not. But if alias was banned (and from what I hear rightly so) for breaking the rules, so should the two above for breaking the no baiting rule."
Now the "interesting" thing about THAT post, is that #1. Alias admits freely on the lostinspace forum that he was warned "over and over again." I guess Waldo "forgot" that little comment from Alias, despite the fact that I kindly reminded him of it, and even posted it for him. #2. Also, The BW Forum DOES NOT HAVE A THREAD "DEDICATED" TO "posting about what's happening over there.....BUT....lostinspace DOES have a Thread titled: "BOISEWEEKLY" which is In Fact, all about what is going on over here! GO FIGURE!

I have a question. Why did a thread wishing well for a holiday devolve into a thread about the spokane forums? Seems counter-productive to me even though I don't post over there.

:D REALLY????
Well oceanlvr, IF YOU DID post "over there," I think you'd find the very same thing happens "over there" many times. We've just decided we don't really want a "DEDICATED" Thread devoted to such a piss poor group of Redneck losers. As YOU mentioned yourself, they're really a pretty mean-spirited group of losers
It's kinda like "conversation...." You start out talking about religion, and then before you know it, you're talking sex, drugs and rock and roll! Know what I mean??? ;)

yes really. I don't post over there and I even stated why. I figured when topics change so drastically it was expected to start a new thread on the new topic. Maybe I am confused?

Well, in a perfect world, You're probably correct. However, I really don't want to start an "Dedicated" Thread to those losers.
Usually, it's one of the "Forum Cops" who points out infractions on this forum. But THEY usually do it privately in a PM.
Are YOU one of the Moderator's on this Forum, oceanlvr? I hear there's several.....Just asking! ;)

no I am not a moderator but then you knew that already. All I did was ask a simple question. Is that so wrong? this is just like the "welcome" I got on the old spokane site. I guess it is time to find a forum where questions are answered without mockery or sarcasm.
